Phase II long-term care bed allocations for Central LHIN
In March 2019, Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care announced 16 additional long-term care projects that will add 1,157 news beds in facilities across Ontario. This is part of the government’s commitment to adding 15,000 long-term care beds in five years, bringing the total number of allocated beds to 7,232.
In the Central LHIN region, Yee Hong Markham was allocated 256 new beds as part of the phase two announcement by the government.
