Long-Term Care Home Accountability Planning Submission (LAPS) and Long-Term Care Home Service Accountability Agreements (L-SAA)
Ontario's LHINs are required under the Local Health Services Integration Act, 2006, to negotiate service accountability agreements with the health service providers they fund.
Central LHIN has worked collaboratively with its long-term care homes and has successfully negotiated and signed the 2016-2019 Long-Term Care Home Service Accountability Agreements (L-SAA) with its long-term care homes.
Updates from the L-SAA Steering Committee
One way in which the L-SAA Steering Committee is keeping everyone informed during the L-SAA process is through a series of regular updates, produced and distributed to long-term care providers and stakeholders. Click on the links below to view the latest communiqué:

LAPS Guidelines 2013-16
In order to facilitate consultation of the L-SAAs, each health service provider with LTC beds is required to submit a planning document known as the Long-Term Care Home Accountability Planning Submission (LAPS). The LAPS, together with the L-SAA, form the basis of a planning, funding and performance management framework.
